For my bday my ambitious asss decided to bleach my head from pink to platuim blonde 😳😳,  and do butt length mini braids. All in all it took me 6 days i started on the 30th of December 2024 and finished on the 4th of January 2025. I don’t keep exact times for how long it takes me to do mini braids like this but I wanted to keep track of everything I watched and rank my enjoyment of each movies and tv show. I will be including a small clip of my fav scene for these shows and movies along with their ranking, so there will be a few spoilers if you care. The youtube videos i watched will not be included in my thoughts or ankings but i will link them.

12) How to Die Alone
Uhhhhhggggggg if i can give you any recommendations throughout this whole list i would recommend that you do not watch this show even as a way to pass time i thoroughly disliked the show, the characters, the plot it was just so ?? and I kept watching hoping it would grow on me and I was just being harsh but no. Natasha Rothwell plays Mellissa the 30 something broke JFK employee. Mellissa’s life has not played out in how she expected which is a good enough plot device what i found infuriated me to no end what how pathetically she was written she wants nothing because she doesn't think she deserves it, she doesnt recognize the relationships around her and banishes herself to solitude, she makes the wrong decisions again and again and though i love a self destructive MC it gets more than a little bit annoying when all she does it whine about how alone she is. Though to a certain point i think this is the point of her character maybe to act as mirror to the self defeated whining babies of the world but i was just annoyed and annoyed that i kept waiting for it to get better just for it to maintain its mediocrity

I actually don't have a favorite scene so i will just put in the first bit of the show so you get the gist

11) Switched at Birth (2011)                              Episode 14
I actually don't have much to say about switched at birth itself but I started rewatching it  in December because I need something to watch.. I have been complaining for a while about the lack of substantial media to watch. I find that a large part of my life is watching tv, movies, youtube and so on, but the current trend of 8 episode seasons makes it impossible to truly incorporate any new shows into my routine, so i ran back to switched at birth this was working fine until the website i was using decided that it would rather devolve into a fine incomprehensible  mist than load any new episodes for me. So i only watched this 1 episode while doing my hair before moving on.

My favorite scene from this episode though is when one of the main characters Daphne lies to her biological parents in order to get money for her friend Emmett, who is at risk of losing his motorcycle due to a $5000 fine he got while tagging a billboard for Bay (his girlfriend)

10) The Substance (2024) Soooo I feel like this one might be contested but I did NOT like the substance. It is a really good movie and I believe it did a phenomenal job at exploring the topic of women striving to fit the beauty standard endlessly in a patriarchal society and its use of body horror to push this concept was quite smart, but it was too much for me. I am naturally squeamish and I dislike gore. It was too much body horror and was so sad as it ended. My first thought when i finished the film was i wish i didn't watch that. I do think it brings up very interesting ideas on women in society and how body image is framed

Thoughts i had while watching the movie
“Crazy that the scariest body horror is literally aging
Under patriarchy are women dehumanized by their sexualization (or is it just a roundabout interaction idk)
Demi Moore is literally so gorgeous”

My favorite scene is at the beginning of the film with Demi Moore working out for her tv show, it was light and fun this was literally before I knew what was coming.

9) Invincible Fight Girl (2024)This was a fun watch. Invincible fight girl is based in a wrestling world where everyone is a wrestler or aspires to be one, expect our main character Adny’s community which happens to be the isle of accountants they handle all the accounting for what I assume is the rest of tis world. It is a little silly but its light hearted and I really enjoyed the animation. There is this looming distrust of the wrestling corporation that seems to pluck up and coming wrestlers out of the unknown and thrust them into stardom. I am interested to see how this narrative plays out if i remember that this show exists when season 2 comes out

My favorite scene is when Andy decides to go out to find a wrestling teacher and on her way there meets a boy looking to make some cash off her and in the process breaks her phone to get her to buy a new one

8)  Knives Out (2019)

Knives out was fun. The issue really is just that i watched Glass Onion like 2 years ago when it came out and I think that movie is phenomenal, so while watching Knives out I kept waiting for it to live up to its successor which it never did (in my opinion). It was still a good watch. Though the way they chose to unravel the story didn't work for me. Knowing the gist of how the murder happened and who was responsible to a large extent took most of the tenison out of the movie. For me it was enjoyable, sure but I wasn't really invested after the second act.

My favorite scene is probably the beginging of maria flashback

7) Mystery of Aaroavos (2024)

Ahh the mystery of Aaravos what a show. To be honest I feel like I have lost my ability to care about this franchise i started watching this show in 2018 when it first came out full of excitement but mehnn it has dragged. This last season is not really bad a solid ⅗ i just think the fact that i have been watching it for so long has taken a bit of wind out of my sails regarding it. This season was the final (i think) wrapping up the stories of our beloved characters but at this point it feels like the challenge of Aarvos should have been or could have been resolved 2 seasons ago. I remember watching season 5 and getting to the end and having a ???? moment like that's it?? To be honest if i had not needed something to occupy my time i doubt i would've even finished the series .

My favorite scene of the season did include a subtle nod to avatar the last hairbender where Terry the earth elf practices his introduction to Ezran the king in the same way Zuko had practiced when anticipating his introduction with the avatar gang. All in all this just made me want to watch avatar the last airbender.

(also making zym talk literally with 10 minutes left in the show talmabt this is what i sound like like omgggg you can kep that that made me so mad cause this guy just witness his mother and reanimated father die in front of his eyes but now at the most inconsequential  moment of the series he finds his voice to say brothers… lol whatever)

6) Creature Commandos (2024)           Episode 5 Yo this is show is actually fire. Creature Commandos exists in the world of Suicide squad but due to Suicide squads past failure and the ethical implications that come with employing prisioners as hired mercenaries the US government shifted to employing creatures and monsters. It is a fun animated number with a bit more gore than I would prefer but it is upbeat and fast paced. A highlight no doubt is the music in each episode that dips into a it of Eastern European culture

My favorite scene from this episode is when Frankenstein gets upset that Flag hadn’t put in a got word for him for The bride

5) Whiplash (2014)Whiplash was gooodddd, you know when you watch a show or movie that everyone says is good and then finally watch it you're like omg yesss that's so good. That was this for me.  I really like musical films because I am so fascinated by music. As an artist it is always so inspiring to see artists of different mediums being portrayed as cut-throat or dedicated. I loved Andrew’s persistence and determination though it bled into an unhealthy realm. I think there is something so valuable about artistic stories where we see people struggle to reach their goals whether they reach them or not.

My favorite scene was definitely the after climax of the film where Fletcher reveals that he was setting up Andrew to fail at the final showcase by not giving him the sheet music to play along with the band, Andrew demoralized walks off the stage, hugs his dad, walks back one and finishes the show.

4) Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023)  Im so surprised i’m JUST watching this but alas. It was amazing as I'm sure you know. I am surprised however that this was just a part 1 of the overall story didn't think I did that well evading spoilers so it was kinda nice to still be surprised by a movie that has had such large cultural significance since it has been out. What can i say other than i enjoyed it i think where the movie is going is very interesting and i am so ready to see what Miles from earth 42 ended up being since unfortunately he did not get the chance to be spider man.
Ummm my thoughts are, i get what Miguel is saying about cannon events but im not gonna let my dad tf. Also the way people have been talking about hobie online you’d think he had more than 15 min of screen tim collectively.

My favorite scene is probably the chase scene with all the spider man its just visual golddd, but specifically i loved the spiderman pointing moment, lovedd it it was fye.

3) Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) I loveddd Grand Budapest Hotel, funnily going in I thought I had already watched this before and I only put it on because i needed a platter cleanser after the substance. I'm a sucker for Wes Anderson. His pacing, colors, and framing all blend together to create a visual concoction I can only describe as YUMMMMMMMMM. Hehehe but Grand Budapest Hotel was fun for me because of the method of storytelling Anderson often utilizes a form of narration in his stories and i think this enhanced the way the story of the converge of the grand budapest hotel was told

I have many favorite scene from this one actually but i think the best one happens in the second act when Mister Gustave  and Zero arrive at Madame d’s  funeral and are confronted by her son.

2) I Saw the Tv Glow (2024)
I saw the TV glow was an incredibly fun watch that left me confused for most of the run time. I went into it not knowing much other than the relation the story had to trans identity. I was so surprised by the direction the film took and was honestly heartbroken by the end. I felt Isobel's suffocation at every end and I felt the urgency involved with her running out of air in her grave. My favorite scene of the film takes place at the very end when Owen is starting to run out of time and feels the air draining from his lungs and so strongly calls out. “YOU NEED TO HELP ME” “IM DYING RIGHT NOW” “MOMMY”. Justice Smith’s performance was so visceral and I felt the scream in my gutt, a literal gut punch. I almost started to feel tears well up at the realization that he will die here, never getting back to where he was meant to be. At the end in a prison of his own making by not being brave enough to bury himself and get born anew.  Like and the evn deeper gut punch as he comes out of the wasroom and  starts apologizing to everyone over his outburst but no one notices, no one cares :( :(.

1) Interview with the Vampire (2024)
           Season 2 Episode 3 - Season 2 Episode 8

This season of Interview with the Vampire RAN me. Likeeee i did  not think I would enjoy it nearly as much as I did, firstly I was a bit uncomfortable by the change in Claudia’s actress. Going into the season I did know Claudia's actress was going to be replaced but seeing Delainey Hayles on the screen instead of Bailey Bass challenged my suspension of disbelief for far longer than it should’ve. Overall this season brought some much needed illumination to Louis as a character i had fallen into a realm of idolization of him, sympathetic of his experience and completely ignoring his impact on others around him. The last act of this season vexxed me man. To my credit I did predict the reveal of Armand being a no backbone having eel. Also I am not like 100% a Lestat forgiver but i don’t hate him. My favorite scenes from this show so far seem to all be in season 1 but what i gravitate towards for season 2 would be
